Considering the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) epidemic Dona Ana MDWCA is taking the necessary precautions to maintain the health of not only you our customers as well as our employees. Effective immediately we will be temporarily closing its lobby. At this time, we are still operating as normal we are just reducing our person to person contact. We would like to encourage our members and the community who do business with to utilize electronic communications as much as possible.

Governor issues five executive orders to free up $3.25M to address COVID-19 public health emergency
SANTA FE – Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham has issued five executive orders authorizing up to $3,250,000 of additional funding for emergency response and disaster relief efforts to address the effects of the COVID-19 public health emergency. The funding will be used to assist in humanitarian relief, public health measures and to benefit families and children impacted by school closures.
This disaster-relief funding has been made available to the New Mexico National Guard, the Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, the Department of Health, the Public Education Department, and the Children, Youth and Families Department. Any unused emergency funds will revert back to the General Fund.
On March 11, 2020, Gov. Lujan Grisham declared a statewide public health emergency in Executive Order 2020-004. The governor is authorized to provide emergency funding out of the General Fund to assist agencies in delivering whatever resources and services are necessary to minimize economic and physical harm to New Mexicans during a declared state of emergency under NMSA 1978, Section 12-11-23 through 12-11-25.

Doña Ana MDWCA understands the concerns regarding the Coronavirus Disease 2019, COVID -19 throughout our state and our country. We want to reassure our members that we are monitoring this situation very closely. At this point in time our operations are not affected; we are currently operating on our regular business schedule with a full staff.
March Billing Notice

We are currently in the process of sending out the March 1, 2020 water and/or wastewater bills. If you receive your monthly bill by email you should be receiving them today. If you receive your monthly bill by mail please start watching for your bill early next week.
Annual Membership Meeting Presentation

The Association holds its Annual Membership meeting each year on the last Wednesday in January. This year our membership meeting was scheduled for January 29, 2020. Unfortunately, the Association did not have a sufficient number of members in order to call the meeting to order. The Association would like to ensure that the membership has an opportunity to still receive the information and reports that would have been provided at the meeting had it been held. Below is a link for the presentation for the meeting. The presentation covers general updates, project updates, a financial report, as well as water conservation presentation.

The meeting will include reports on any current issues regarding the Association, an updated financial report, and various reports on operations, projects, and new infrastructure. Our Association is only as strong as each individual member and we strongly encourage personal participation. We ask the public to please attend in order to hear about our upcoming activities, as well as provide further opportunity for us to address any questions or concerns. We hope that everyone can join us to learn more about your water Association.

It’s election time again! The election for the Board of Directors is currently underway. Districts 2 and 4 are up for a four (4) year election term and District 5 is up for a two (2) year election term. If you live in one of these four districts but are not interested in serving please remember to get out and VOTE! Residents will experience a water outage, possible low water pressure, and discolored water from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 pm Wednesday, March 13, 2019, while we begin to transfer some of the new waterlines online. This outage will affect all homes in Radium Springs.
